"I had the melody before the lyrics and one day I was playing the song and just sang “walk into the fire”. I’m not really sure how it happened or how to explain it because it is such an abstract process but from that line I formed the idea for the rest of the song. I think it’s about finding the truth for yourself and not being stubborn when new facts come to light. If you realize something you once believed is wrong, you have to change the way you think...and in a way, destroy that old part of yourself like a fire consumes, and then creates light." - Mike Rendini
